I have completed 3 academic degrees; the first being a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Social Work and lastly a Graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolution. This has required the completion of numerous academic papers and developed research skills. I graduated with excellent results and I feel that this was largely due to my academic writing and research skills. I would be happy to provide examples of my work upon request.

My love for writing is really experienced in the arena of creative writing. I have written short fictional pieces that I have used to try and convey a deep idea, a personal feeling or a more abstract concept. I feel creative writing can be the most difficult and yet the most rewarding. Particularly in the way it can realise an idea, which could otherwise not be expressed in a more straight forward manner. When writing, the English language becomes my tool box for which I have to find the right 'instrument' in order to make the thought flow most freely, this more so in creative writing, then in any other form. I would be happy to provide examples of my work upon request.

In my previous role at Disability Justice Advocacy Inc I was the team leader. This was a supervisory role where I was given the responsibility to edit and proof read the work of the other advocates in the organisation. In order to be successful in this role, it required close attention to detail and the ability to reformulate sentences in a clear and coherent structure.

Several years ago I launched my own business in Australia providing family mediation services "Insynch Mediation". I wrote my own web content that emphasised the benefits of my mediation services. I think that information needs to be clear and concise in order to succinctly deliver a message to get attention and results.

I have written numerous articles in my previous position as advocate that was for the purpose of advocating for the rights of people with disabilities.
