It is my pleasure recommend Avraham Grossbaum for any Oracle DBA and development work. This recommendation is based on his years at Michlalah Jerusalem College, where I served as the manager of Computer Services Group.
Mr. Grossbaum was employed at Michlalah Jerusalem College from 1989 through 2000 – almost 12 years. During that time, he served as the head of the team of programmers responsible for the development of the college’s academic information systems. His duties included Oracle programming, database management, and guiding other Oracle programmers.
In addition to his Oracle work, he performed system maintenance and expansion, for both hardware and software needs. Under his direction, the number of users of the academic information systems grew 200%.
Mr. Grossbaum, under his own initiative, taught himself the skills he needed for those tasks. Over the years, he continued to sharpen his skills to keep current with new Oracle programming technology. Additionally, he enrolled in a year-long course in Information Systems Analysis at John Bryce Training, graduating with Distinction.
Mr. Grossbaum was an active member of the Israel Oracle Users Group for many years and served as an elected board member and treasurer. This involvement gave him a broad understanding of Oracle products and consumer needs.
One of Mr. Grossbaum’s greatest strengths was his devotion to his work. Rather than develop “quick fixes” or "patches", he was willing to invest many hours to find a comprehensive solution to a problem. His coding was meticulous in order to grow with the college’s future needs. He could always be relied upon to give his utmost attention to providing the best solution.
