I was born in 1982, in cold, dark Sweden but moved out at the age of 23. Since then I've worked in Norway, traveled the world a bit and most recently spent the last few years setting up an off-grid permaculture farm in Portugal, focused on education in sustainability and organic farming. Even though we just made a move, pursuing a new life and career, life on a desolate mountain slope in rural Portugal has been an incredible learning experience. I've studied and worked with subjects of a wide range from eco-construction to water systems, to soil science, trees and plants, waste management, animal husbandry, and alternative energy, etc. etc. Becoming a proper Jack-of-all-Trades has been a necessity on the farm. Over the years we had a go at raising Chicken, Ducks, Geese, Pigs, Goats, Pigeons and Rabbits. What I lack in theoretical knowledge I back up with practical experience! Although my native tongue is Swedish, my daily language is English for many years, as my wife is Italian and my co-workers, friends and neighbors, all speak English commonly. I even tend to speak English to my 5-year-old daughter, as it comes more naturally (for her as well) but I'm trying to make an effort to teach her as much Swedish as possible (living outside of Sweden). My biggest passions in life are music, food, and photography. Reading and writing has always been a big interest as well. At an early age, I choose to read books in English instead of Swedish and all my studying these last few years has been in English. My strength as a translator or proofreader is my extreme attention to detail. Also, my work ethics are high, I'm reliable and a solid guy in general. Translation and proofreading work is new to me but I'm confident in my skills and can't wait to get a chance to prove it.
