Zone1 developed a module in the E- commerce platform, Group sale is a sale in which several potential customers join to purchase a product.
This module provide three group sale types:
• Open bid group sale
Several customers are buying a product, the order is fulfilled when
minimal amount of units are reached. The sale is intended for products for which no
social relation between customers is required (e.g. LCDs with discount)
• Closed bid group sale
Several friends are buying a product, each one can invite his
friends (outsiders are not allowed to enter the sale). The sale is for products like
Recreation Day in some amusement park – customers need to know each other to
participate in such activity. Several concurrent sales may co-exist on the same product.
• Closed bid single sale
Several friends are buying a single product while each contributes
a part of the total price (e.g. a group of work colleague are joining together to buy a gift for a newborn of another colleague)
